Křížová, Anna ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: The Effects of a warm-up on the performance of football players Objectives: The comparison of influence of two types of warm-up before and after a physical activity on performance of U19 football players. Testing of subsequent post-warm-up performance focused on acceleration, explosive power and agility. Methods: In this empirical-theoretical thesis, a total of twenty-four U19 football players, divided in two experimental groups, is tested. The players within each group undertook either a complete dynamic warm-up or a shorter warm-up without the dynamic component. The performance was tested after the warm-up utilizing four tests - an acceleration run test on 30 m, a standing long jump, a foul throw and a shuttle run. The same tests were conducted again after an interlaid physical activity. The same procedure was repeated after a week when the two groups swapped the warm-up methods. Statistical analyses were employed to evaluate the results. Results: The hypothesis 1, assuming a positive effect of a complete dynamic warm-up on the performance before the physical activity was on one hand supported in the acceleration run on 30 m and the foul throw. On the other hand, no distinctive advantage of a complete dynamic warm-up was observed for the standing long jump and the shuttle run. Hypothesis 2...

Malá, Mariana ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Monitoring the number of injuries in volleyball specializations and their prevention Objectives: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to monitor, which player specialization is most burdened by the number of injuries and what prevention they use. . Methods: To obtain the necessary data, the method of expert finding in the form of a questionnaire was used. Hypotheses were established, the obtained data were processed into graphs and the results were determined. Then the results were compared with hypotheses and with foreign and Czech literature. . Results: I have found that the most affected position by injuries is middle blocker. The highest incidence of acute injuries is in the area of fingers and ankles. Players most often have chronic problems with their knees and shoulders. In terms of prevention, I found that volleyball players most often use regeneration in the form of other sports activities and that the length of their initial warm-up does not correspond to the theoretical basis. Keywords: volleyball, prevention, injury, regeneration, load, warm-up
Effect of toning in warm-up on performance of floorball players
Králíčková, Kateřina ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Dragounová, Zuzana (referee)
Title: Effect of toning in warm-up on performance of floorball players Objectives: Find out the influence of toning in warm-up before performance in exercises aimed at determining the action speed, explosive power of legs and agility of floorball players. Methods: A total of 20 floorball player aged 17 - 27 years participated in two measurements, one week apart. On the test day each proband passed one of two types of warm-up, non-toning warm-up and toning warm-up, and the next test day passed the second type of warm-up. The warm-up was follwed by three tests, the 20 m run, the jump from place and the shuttle run. For analysis of results was used statistics methods. Results: The first hypothesis was confirmed for the group of probands aged 17-19 years in the overall performance, 10 m run, 20 m run and jump from place. The second hypothesis was confirmed in the overall performance for all probands, then for the group of probands aged 17-19 years and for the group of probands aged 20-24 years. The second hypothesis was confirmed in the 10 and 20 m run for all probands, in the 10 m, 20 m run and in the jump from the place for the group of probands aged 17-19 years, in the 10 and 20 m run for group of probands aged 20-24 years. According to Cohen's d the results of the 10 and 20 m run were the most...
Effects of a foam roller during stretching
Pětíková, Nikola ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Malý, Petr (referee)
Title: Effects of a foam roller during stretching Aims: The main aim of the thesis was to compare effects between the foam roller and stretching exercises. Methods: 10 female students aged 23-24 from UK FTVS participated in this study. All the participants were active athletes. The study was realized as a cross-over trial. There was used tensiomyography using the TMG 100 to measure all the participants. The musculus vastus lateralis were tested in both sides. A generalized linear model was used to evaluate the results. Results: The foam rolling tended to better activate muscle before training and statistically significantly accelerated post-load recovery processes compared to normal stretching. Conclusions: The foam roller could be used effectively after sports performance as a tool to accelerate regeneration, thereby enhancing sports performance. Keywords: warm-up, stretching, TMG, tensiomyography

Title: Influence of dynamic stretching on the resulting dynamics of lower extremities in volleyball Objectives: The aim of this work was to find out if there is a correlation between long term dynamic stretching and muscle dynamics of lower limbs of volleyball players. Methods: Theoretical part is based on foreign literature and researches. To gain the necessary data, experimental study was created. It contained 10 male probands in the age of 16-19. In the beginning of the experiment, all the participants attended the Bosco test at the biomedical lab at UK FTVS. The main parameter was the total flight time of the entire 60 seconds. After that participants attended 8 weeks of 2 times a week of dynamic stretching before the training instead of their usual stretching stereotype. Immediately after those 8 weeks, second Bosco testing took place and the comparison of the data of the whole group and individuals was made from the view of their volleyball posts. Results: There was a slight improvement in all the data at the whole group and significant improvement in anaerobic endurance. After comparing of the results of all the probands no significant differences between the probands from the perspective of player's volleyball posts. Keywords: volleyball, stretching, static stretching, dynamic stretching,...

Čaklošová, Karolína ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: Optimization of warm-up before speed-strenght loading Objectives: The aim of this work is to compare three variants of warming up and to determine the most appropriate one before speed-strenght loading. Methods: The test group consisted of 15 male students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at The Charles University at the age of 22 -26 years. The tested subjects underwent 4 tests within 4 weeks. The first test was used to determine the 1 RM bench press and leg-press, the results of which we needed for the proper determination of the weights for the following protocols. The other three measurement protocols include three warm-up (base, a speed-strenght and toning), followed by a test of explosive strength in arms and legs. Countermovement vertical jump height with arm swing was used for legs testing and medicine ball shoot-up in supine position was used for arms testing. Results: This research shows that best results in the countermovement vertical jump height with arm swing were achieved after the speed-power warm-up. The best results in medicine ball shoot-up in supine position were achieved after the basic warm up, but results are not statistically significant for these testing. Keywords: Warm-up, dynamic stretching, speed-force loading, toning, explosive force, testing
